NEW BEDFORD, MA — The New Bedford Police Union today announced its endorsement of John Deaton for the United States Senate.
Union leadership cited Deaton’s strong record of supporting law enforcement, his background as a U.S. Marine veteran, and his commitment to public safety and the men and women who protect Massachusetts communities.
“John Deaton understands the challenges facing our officers every day,” said a spokesperson for the New Bedford Police Union. “He has consistently stood with law enforcement and will be a reliable ally in the U.S. Senate. We are proud to endorse him.”
Deaton, a Marine veteran, trial attorney, and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, welcomed the endorsement.
“I am deeply honored to receive the support of the New Bedford Police Union,” Deaton said. “Our police officers put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. As your next U.S. Senator, I will always stand with them, fight for the resources they need, and work to ensure they have the respect and backing they deserve.”
