QUINCY, MA -- U.S. Senate candidate John Deaton was endorsed on Tuesday by Mr. Marty Patel and Tonny and Sean Patel of the Patel family, business leaders within the Indian-American family network synonymous with first-generation business ownership across Massachusetts and New England.
The Patel family and its subsidiaries oversee approximately 360 business ventures including household names like the Patel Bros. grocery store chain and Jamsan Hotel Management, the asset management firm controlling over 9,300 hotel rooms within dozens of its New England properties.
In a joint statement, the Patel leaders praised Deaton for his experience as a business founder and his understanding of the hurdles facing entrepreneurs and first-generation residents seeking to secure their piece of the American Dream in Massachusetts.
"Like John Deaton, we feel grateful to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for helping us realize the incredible potential that the United States offers every citizen. However, an explosion of new, competitive business climates across the country means that starting a business here has never come with greater risk," said the Patels.
