BOSTON, MA -- U.S. Senate candidate John Deaton was endorsed on Friday by the Massachusetts Association of 7-Eleven Franchise Owners, handing him a significant nod from private sector entrepreneurs heading into Election Day.
Association President Vatsal Chokski cited Deaton's willingness to work across the aisle on addressing some of his franchise owners' most critical business concerns, including organized retail theft, restrictions on flavored nicotine products, and comprehensive immigration reform.
"John Deaton is the first candidate for U.S. Senate in decades to actively reach out and ask for our advice and support. I'm proud to encourage my fellow franchisees to support his campaign," said Chokski. "Massachusetts business owners need a full-time U.S. senator who does what's right no matter who else is in office, and John Deaton has earned our trust that he is committed to doing just that."
"Receiving an endorsement from so many first-generation immigrant entrepreneurs is a badge of honor to me. Their stories of overcoming adversity to own their own piece of the American Dream are what I aspire to help them continue to do, and what I hope to offer all Massachusetts residents who want to stay and succeed here," said Deaton.
