New Allegations Against Graham Platner

BOSTON, MA — U.S. Senate candidate John Deaton issued the following statement today regarding emerging reports of new allegations against Democratic Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner:

"While the full details of these new allegations have not yet been released, the reports point to deeply concerning and inappropriate conduct. Once again, this serves as a stark reminder of why blind loyalty to any party or any candidate, regardless of party affiliation, is ill-advised and not in the best interest of the voters or citizens of our country.

I call on Seth Moulton and Ed Markey to immedately recind any endorcements or pledges of support to Graham Platner.

Americans deserve leaders held to the highest standards of character and accountability.

Partisan loyalty should never excuse serious personal failings or shield candidates from scrutiny. Our democracy functions best when voters demand integrity above all else."

Deaton, a Marine Corps veteran and independent-minded Republican critical of blind partisanship on both sides, continues to campaign on putting Massachusetts families first.
